The Northside Recreation service area includes all of qathet Regional District Area A from the City of Powell River boundary north of Wildwood to Toba Inley, aside from Savary Island.

Construction is on schedule and moving quickly! It's scheduled to be completed in March 2026

Northside Community Centred Care, through the Lund Community Society, are building supports that help residents age safely and comfortably in their own home.

They also promote education and empowerment around death care, including home-based funerals, rituals, and green burial options right here in our community.

The Barnacle is our long-running community magazine, created by and for the people of Northside qathet. Each issue shares local stories, upcoming events, community updates, and the voices that make our corner of the coast so unique.

We believe Lund is the best place in the world to raise children, so it seems only natural that we would start their education here, supported by the community.  

​

Each year adds new families with new skills to share, and each year sees the preschool and playground grow into the amazing program we see today.  

The Lund Community Society supports special events and on-going programs at the Northside Community Recreation Centre.

From Yoga and Tai Chi to SD47 Strong Start, Les Petits Phoques French Playgroup for Toddlers and Community Society Monthly Meetings, we have something for everyone in our community.

Bike Lund is a volunteer-run organization that seeks to make our community a more bike-friendly place. We're a small group but we think we can make a big impact.

By fixing & refurbishing bikes, advocating for safer bike routes & cycling infrastructure, and promoting cycling as a way to get around, we'll make this special place we call home even better.
